I think in this case, OP needs to clarify the definition of ‘bothering’ as it’s open to ambiguity. In my own experience of working in a shop in Central Station (therefore coming and going from there a lot) I tend to see the homeless people mostly interacting and ‘bothering’ each other and not non-homeless pedestrians outside of sitting with a cup asking passers-by for change.
Referring to people who have fallen on hard times as ‘tramps’ and ‘junkies’ is one of the problems here. |
