Comment | You could maybe have a trans-friendly evening where you give pampering/haircuts/style advice to trans people with a wee glass of bubbly? I don’t think it’s really about having trans staff, although that would definitely help, but maybe being pro-actively inclusive - have a sign in window/posts on social media that state that your business is a safe, inclusive space? Share photos of hairstyles popular with trans customers on your social media? I think a great thing would be to have an instantly recognisable logo or banner on your website that trans/queer people recognise as showing your biz supports them. Or maybe in your FAQ, you could have a question “I am trans, am I welcome in your business?” And you could answer “of course, everyone is welcome to our salon” and go on to highlight any queer events you host. |
