I certainly didn’t leave school not knowing what an ovary was.
Perhaps the fact that your friend didn’t even realise he was at a Catholic school until after he left is an indication of his level of general understanding?
And I definitely didn’t have to pray multiple times a day… a few times a year maybe, but definitely not every day.
