You don't need a prescription from your GP. As long as you've been diagnosed with coeliac disease you can receive gluten free products directly from your pharmacy. The pharmacist will set up an initial consultation with you and if the service is suitable they'll give you an info pack and update your patient care record to keep your GP in the loop. You can then ask the pharmacy to order what products you need from the info pack and when they arrive in store, the pharmacist will prescribe the items on a pharmacist's prescription
