Comment | I’m moving up from the South Coast so I’m about as southern as you can get. As I said, I have friends in Glasgow and I’ve spoken to them for years now. A few words go over my head but I can kinda get the meaning from how they’re using it in a sentence. The only issue I’ve had with understanding the “language” is the older people, whenever my mates dad speaks to me I can barely understand a single word he says. I guess I’ll just have to learn it as I go.
On another note, if I’m ever in a situation where I can’t understand what someone is saying due to the accent or whatever being too strong, what would be a good response? |
