Yeh it's not fun. I am happy to cycle at walking pace anyway just to get across and I can usually do that without making a cunt of myself and falling over :)
Ideally the junction should be closed to cars or restrictions put in place. There are so many pedestrians and cyclists in that area with maniacs coming off that M8.
It's not the best of ideas but if the junction was ripped up and rebuilt then a much better job could be made of it. There is wasted space in the middle with trees and bushes that serve no purpose. You can't even jump in for a pee without the risk of being maimed.
Road planners nowadays are much better at designing junctions and I think even an apprentice road planner could make that junction 10 times better with little or no effort. |
