They are two different areas so it depends, can you give us a street or a scheme? Because Tradeston isn't very residential at all other than a certain notorious block of flats. If the apartment is not in aforementioned development its more likely to be ok, although with it being an industrial area it will be very quiet after midnight.

Laurieston on the other hand is much more residential and it varies by area. Bridge Street/Eglington Street gets a lot of traffic after midnight because of the 24h shop and because its a main road, there's usually drunks walking back from town around this time which might make some uncomfortable. Then into Lauriston itself it depends whether you're in the northern part close to the Clyde, the old shemes, the new schemes or the private rent new builds.
