I don't have an employer. The app companies aren't employers to couriers. I chose to do this job a year before the pandemic because the pay was actually really good. I was consistently earning £10 p/h on my shitty road bike any day of the week. Then the pandemic happened and the pay is majorly decreased due to an increase in couriers. Now I'm in a more expensive but faster vehicle constantly earning £5-£7 p/h even at weekends.
I'm actually not annoyed at the restaurant. The people in there are always nice. The customer was a prick over something resolvable because he's the type to toss the dummy out the pram over first world problems like having to chase a refund and order his food again. THE INHUMANITY! |
