Comment	FWIW, I managed to get a flat within a week of coming to Glasgow. From my experience, dealing directly with landlords speeds things up tremendously. I got my flat via OpenRent. Spoke with the landlord over the phone, we arranged a viewing the next day, and 2 days later I'd moved in. Whereas before this, I'd been to almost 8-9 viewings with agencies that led nowhere.
