1. I have never had a problem walking my dog at night in glasgow. I don’t let him approach strangers though.

2. I’m based in the gorbals but use Hyndland Street vet. They are really good imo. They never try to push products on me etc, advice always seems to work out, easy to get appts, nice staff, is clean and bright inside. I have had 2 bad experiences with the Charing Cross animal hospital and will always travel out to Glasgow Uni small animal hospital in bearsden for anything serious now.

3. There are a few Facebook groups for dog meet-ups. Look for breed specific ones, I’m sure there will be a chihuahua one. If not there is puppy and dog play dates I think it’s called. I’m on the womens waking and hiking groups too and take my dog out to some walks. Also get your dog Instagram, I’ve met loads of dog friends that way. Visit the dog park if your dog is cool with it, loads of people talk to you there. To be honest I’ve found the best way to make friends is going to events via Facebook groups that align with my interests.

Good luck for the move. Glasgow is a great city to have a dog in.
