I just graduated with an MEng in Civil engineering from Strathclyde this summer with distinction, I had 0 summer placements/internships as covid halted a lot of it for me tbh.

I landed a grad job that I start in September and had a total of 5 interviews and/or offers. No one seemed too bothered about my lack of experience and let me discuss some coursework that I done to show off my skills and knowledge etc.

The civil department at strath held a few job fairs and stuff which I found very helpful - it let me speak with companies and ask what they're looking for in CV's, cover letters, interview tips and the sorts. If you get the opportunity to attend any I'd sign yourself up.

Also, your grade isn't an issue at all, that's still a 2:1 or a merit if you continue with your masters which is fantastic and allows you to get chartered in the future - a company mentioned to me that a master's degree was dersierable to even get into their grad scheme.

I personally suffered from imposter syndrome during my time at university as I didn't think I was "smart" enough and deserving to be there. It sounds like you're in a similar frame of mind but you just have to remind yourself that you got accepted into Strathclyde on your own merit and do deserve to be there :)
