Comment | I used to live in Kinning park and cycled down PRW into the city. This was actually my first experience of city cycling when I moved to Glasgow!
Very doable and same principles apply. My cycling experience changed massively when I learned to take the lane whenever I needed to and there are a lot of parked cars on PRW so do take the lane - you don’t want to be hit by a car door trust me (if you are ever hit by a door aim into the car not away from it, it will save you being hit by another car!!)
If you don’t feel comfortable/safe in your position then take the lane, I can’t stress it enough. As long as you are in control of the situation you will be okay. Don’t let cars bully you - you have as much right to be cycling down the road in the primary position as a person in their car commuting to work.
Congrats on your new job!! |
