I noticed huge uptake in IT (especially banking) and Renewables (offshore wind) due to recent Scot Wind lease and SSE and Scottish Power main offices located in Glasgow. Seems like there is local min boom of high specialized positions in Glasgow, which can be good and bad - economically the area will benefit but I expect prices going higher as those are mostly highly paid positions (£50k and up). |
