Theres not really a recreational food truck ‘scene’ here like you get in some city’s in America, where loads of people go out at night and hang out, eating at the different vendors.

They are mainly trailer units that set up close to industrial areas where they will get a lot of business selling breakfast and lunch to workers, or set up outside event arenas where they get high footfall in a short space of time.

You’ll need to get various licenses and certificates in order to operate legally.

And word of warning. There is a poster on here who’s nemesis is the burger van man. If you set up on his Shawlands street, expect lots of angry-creepy stares from his window.
