I’ll give you people being generally rude is some city-living expectations

I had a nice conversation with someone in the cinema who was checking their phone and having loud conversations during the movie; when I asked if they could be more considerate as they were being very distracting I was greeted with: “No, I paid twelve quid for this movie, I can do what I want.”

People seem a lot more entitled in the last few years, though this was part of me questioning if it’s just me.

On your other point: good lord I’d love a farm in the middle of nowhere! The very moment a reasonably-priced one comes on the market we will be all over that.
