When I was 10 years old walking back from my friends house after dark, babbling loudly at my dad he stopped me and pointed out that we're surrounded by houses, and people are trying to sleep. It's something that's always stuck with me, mainly because I'm convinced that absolutely nobody else in the country ever had a similar moment.
Drunks coming in via the flats courtyard at 4am every fucking night shouting sectarian shite and slamming doors, student girls with that god awful screech laugh smoking in a courtyard with 40 other flats facing it in the middle of the night. Just to add to the list you already posted.
I don't think it's anything new, people have always just been disrespectful cunts but any direct action whatsoever to stop them from disrupting your basic biological need for sleep qualifies as assault or harassment, so you need to either be sneaky or go live in the woods. |
