The differences in the taste of oranges in this country compared to Europe or America is just insane.

Apples are decent, but how good can an apple ever be, berries do pretty well here, I used to grow them in my garden (and used to pick them in the summer), if you get them straight from the farm or somewhere that stocks locally (roots & fruits or locavore) they taste pretty good.

Mangos from the supermarket for me have been 50/50 but still one of my favourite, but I have heard in Southside there are places / seasons to get really good ones that I have been meaning to try.

In general the British palete is just pretty terrible, I remember being all defensive about how bad food was here until living other places, its slowly getting better and there are places to find decent food but yeh it can be a bit of a search
