My point is, I questioned your talk of pints costing £8. You said they cost that in London. I felt safe to assume that as you didn’t mention a city you were talking about Glasgow.
And yes £5 a pint common in Glasgow now, but not £8, which was the original discussion.
PS why would it be illegal to move out of Glasgow and return?
