I lived in Rome and it isnt that dirty that I can remember?

I took part in the litter picking and helped write some little apps to help coordinate it, but its really hard to keep motivated with that stuff when you spend hours cleaning somewhere up to just see it become a tip again the next week.

Curious at what other things that can be done to fix it, beyond moaning that GCC doesnt employ an army of cleaners following every messy fuck in Glasgow.

It feels like a majority of the litter comes from people disposing garbage in bags in the street, the bags get torn to shit and litter goes everywhere. They moved the bins in my flat recently and have noticed that even what seems to be tennents are putting bin bags next to empty bins just for them to get destroyed. It seems like whoever has those schemes (including GCC as far as I can tell?) that are leaving bags of rubbish out scheduled to be picked up should be banned and reorganised. It isn't something I remember seeing a lot of in other places.
