Amsterdam to Newcastle ferry is what I'm planning to do - will book ferry tomorrow if pet friendly cabins are still available. I have a flight from SFO to AMS, ferry to Newcastle, then train to Glasgow. Will have unhappy cat with me the whole time, assuming she's still alive, but at least I'll be there.
