| Comment | I suspect the issue is not so much a growing middle class, as an influx of middle class people and/or capital from other parts of the UK. Either coming to live here or just buying property. In Shawlands/Govanhill/Pollokshields it's clear this is happening from the voices you hear in the street. I have never heard so many English accents, and we're talking everyone from students through young professionals/families, to older people. |
