The premise of your argument is mistaken. The difference between dysmorphia and dysphoria (what trans people have) is that changing things does nothing to help dysmorphia (believing you're fat and should diet even when you're skinny), while changing things is proven to help trans people live happier, productive lives.

I'm a trans woman, not autistic (I've been tested), at the top of my field as an engineer (I'm quite far from dumb) and don't dress in a traditionally "feminine" way most of the time. I guess some would call me a tomboy. I was never under the illusion that my body was anything other than phenotypically male before I started to transition, and the fact that it's more phenotypically female now is something I can acknowledge and be content with.

Fact is that taking hormones and socially transitioning did actually get rid of most of the issues I was having emotionally. I don't usually answer these threads - it usually results in threats or abuse - but felt like I should this time for some reason.
