There was plans to scrap it in favour of a lighted junction a few years back sure? Lived round the corner from it most of my life and have hated it even before Silverburn traffic made it worse. No idea why the plan was scrapped. Probably GCC don't wanna spend money or simply shat it at the idea that commerce there would drop for a few weeks.
