I got my master's in the engineering department at Strathclyde, and the career prospects are pretty good. Depending on your field, places like SSE, SPEN, Ofgem, RES, DNV, to name a few all have offices in Glasgow and tend to hire all year round. My internship in undergrad was dogshit and never really came up again afterwards - just a course requirement.

Happy for you to drop me a message if you want to talk about it - the careers advice had some pretty lukewarm advice for me too, except that Scotland's economy is mostly small-to-medium enterprises, which I thought was cool.
