A friend of mine’s neighbours’ kids were very noisy to the point that she was losing sleep and couldn’t work during the day. Turned out one of the kids had autism and adhd so it might not be as ‘easy’ as the parents ‘controlling’ them better. My friend ended up moving, as there was literally nothing anyone could do.

Is your neighbour a council tenant? I’ve had success with complaining to the council about awful neighbours before. Just be prepared for them figuring out it’s you who complained and chapping your door!

You could soundproof the room you work/sleep in using Kingspan. You could also say to your neighbour to put rugs/carpets down to dampen their noise if they currently have wooden floors. Yeah . Both these things will make a huge difference.
