They'll be able to provide you with info on how to claim housing benefit and will source temporary accommodation for you. I'll be honest, you might end up in a hostel but there's a good chance you'll end up with your own temp flat. From there on, you can apply to housing associations, and you'll be priority due to homeless status.
Get to the casework team pronto.
Edit: Just read that you're in college. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you might have to drop out if you're looking to claim housing benefit. Temp flats cost a fortune and I doubt you could afford the monthly payments on a bursary or loan. |
