I don’t know what the spec is of the OP’s bike so I was just making generalisations.
Older mudguards can be heavy and are a drag in the wind. Modern plastic streamlined ones are much better.
I also didn’t say maximum pressure, I said near maximum pressure. I stand by that as many pathways are smooth and the increased puncture protection with harder tyres is a benefit. The amount of shit and broken glass on the ground in Glasgow is phenomenal. It is true though that harder tyres make the ride more uncomfortable. It’s a trade off so adjust to suit your own arse. |
