In terms of websites I learn about a lot of what's on through Resident Advisor or Gigs in Scotland.
My main way of seeing what's on though is the Skinny magazine. You can pick up a free copy each month from CCA and they always have a calendar of all the music/art events that are planned for the next few months in Glasgow/Edinburgh.
