Yes, I didn't really want to have to use the heating with the windows open....I get really anxious about the costs going up all the time - but I do see the sense in it, all the same.

With regards to the door...yes its uPVC and I'll be using draught excluder tape. The door had locking issues because of misalignment, so it has already been adjusted to the max. The thing is thought that it looks like it's taken a warp at the bottom.

I thought too, that I was being really clever when I moved in, and got a super thick carpet for the hall (its a bottom floor flat), but that added to the stupid door not closing properly, just made it worse! Have you ever tried to shave a carpet? I should do a Youtube video for that!
