| Comment | I've probably met Gassy Annie, although I've never known her by that name. She was just an old lady buzzing gas, habitually. Sounds like the same person, though. She asked me for a lighter one time, which I gave her and also told her she should maybe take a wee break between buzzing gas and lighting a fag, lest she explode or even implode. She clean denied she was doing anything, and just sort of hid the canister.
I'd assumed she'd been a victim of the harshness of the lockdowns on everyone's mental health, but maybe she'd been at it for longer. This would have been closer to the city centre on Paisley Road West. I can remember feeling very sorry for the old dear, but if she wants to light a fag, then it's hardly my duty to fully risk assess the situation. I did as best I could. |
