Shared paths are great and the more people using routes with no traffic means more of them get better, trying to ban people from walking their dogs on kelvinwalkway so cyclists can go for a personal best is not a good idea imo.
Saying that, the idiot that does keep his husky on a lead but absolutely refuses to walk on the left side of the canal despite the fact that almost everyone else undestands how to share that path, he can be banned.
