Comment | I've only got a few months' of data but happy to give you a comparison once the companies have done an assessment for you. Remember that if you can use it while the sun shines, you'll save 29p/kwH or whatever your rate is, but if you can't, you'll only get 7.5p for export (and only if you're grid-tied).
Interestingly, I've realised my daily use is pretty much bugger all (laptops and lighting when working from home) 95% of the time, punctuated by short bursts when the dishwasher, kettle, toaster, oven, washing machine etc. go on. So your usage might be 20kwH in a day, but don't expect to offset all of it with panels. |
