| Comment | I was in a similar situation but managed to avoid it so I have been where you are.
As the top commenter helpfully advises, register as homeless immediately, do not tell them you have somewhere to live as they wont bother with you until you are actually on the street.
They will put you in a shelter for a week or so for somewhere to live and then look to place you somewhere asap.
Time is essential, the sooner you tell them you are already on the street, the faster your name makes it up the list.
