Not any longer - there are ‘prescribing pharmacists’ nowadays. Bloody brilliant service. Had a suspected chest infection, local pharmacy sent me to one up the road who listened to my chest, confirmed likely infection, and prescribed me antibiotics. Saved a GP visit and job was a good ‘un.
