Surely down to the decision of the operator, partly. Focus on Edinburgh not Glasgow. Glasgow Airport are all the negative things said in this thread, because they has flights taken away from them. Not much the airport can do about it really. Not a unique scenario across Europe, where they've gone from having flights to and from loads of cities to three or four massive airports where everything has to go through. That's a concerted effort on the part of the airlines and the people running the airport, I presume. Try flying through Bordeaux Airport, flagship airport in one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe for decades, also one of the biggest areas for wine tourists. And it's a cow shed
