There’s some places starting to make decent vegan pizza. With the ones at paesano and pizza punk, they just lack the cheese rather than them trying to replace it with a poor substitute, but the bases they use and other ingredients (as long as you do go for other toppings!) make it taste great.

I don’t think there is a good enough vegan substitute cheese yet for pizzas, but vegan cheese has come along way in the last few years so fingers crossed someone works it out for the full experience!

Been having a think about your diet changes you’ve had to make and where to go out for a meal. I don’t have other specifics to recommend, but sounds like you could start trying out Indian, Chinese and Japanese places and dishes. Chinese/Japanese/Thai/Vietnamese cooking doesn’t use much, if any, dairy and just go for vegetarian or chicken options. Although Indian food often contains dairy, there are plenty of vegetarian options and restaurants are realising that vegan Ian is becoming more popular so Indian restaurants tend to have plenty already that are vegan. The only thing with Indian restaurants and something that sounds vegan but hasn’t been labelled as either, is just check whether ghee is used making it. I haven’t been back to the Dhabba or Dhakin in Glasgow since lockdown, but they were always good before it and have lots of options
