Living in Lanarkshire, I can recommend LAMH (Lanarkshire Association for Mental Health). A quick google tells me there’s a GAMH for Glasgow folks. Give them a call! Simply say ‘hi, I’m struggling with my mental health and wondering if anyone could advise me whilst I’m waiting for a GP referral’. It’ll take a bit of guts, but just might open some doors. It’s brilliant that you’ve written your post here, as getting it out of your head and into writing can be cathartic in itself. You are not alone, but you’ll feel like you are and I understand that. LAMH are really good at a community level, and will know of support networks in your area - they might not suit, but it’s worth a try - don’t stop trying to find the right path for yourself. And remember, it won’t always be like this. The thing with life is it’s constantly evolving, flexing and changing according to the things we choose. It might get better, it might even get worse, but it won’t stay the same forever. Take a deep breath, be proud of trying to make some positive steps and see if you can make some calls. (If you struggle to make calls, then maybe an email in the first instance). Good luck, and message me if you think it might help. :)
