Well yeah. Of course I agree with that. It's the folk having 4/5 cars to a single household.
The whole thing is a mess. Public transport here is awful. First Bus are a shambles. Scotrail a joke. Subway is woeful. It's needs huge investment. Other cities do it fine. Tram networks and the like.
Sure, have cars, but keep them out of the city.
