This is what I mean though - I think there are lots of ways of defining "local". Does it really benefit the city?
If it were my money (which it kind of is) I would want to know :
Who audits that (GCC has notoriously poor due diligence)? What is "local"? Are there enough local technicians etc? Or are they coming from elsewhere in the UK? Are we creating a false industry? Is there enough work when WB aren't in town to keep these crews and services working?


It's a relatively disruptive industry (I used to live on Gardner Street and it was a pain in the arse whenever they filmed things there). If it's worth the investment that is acceptable though.
