Of course that is just anecdotal evidence but I work in that sector and the amount of local people I know who worked on that is crazy (myself included) Even more, while a lot of the very specialised crew came in from elsewhere, the production had bucket loads of entry or low level jobs available and provided big budget feature film experience to local talent who otherwise wouldn't have gotten that opportunity. Having experienced local crew available is a huge incentive for other productions to shoot here which in turn keeps those people from moving to London where all the big studios are and can hopefully build a thriving Scottish film industry

Edit: re public hands, all that money they spent here got taxed
