I've had so many conversations with friends who seem to think paying for their usage right now and not getting into credit is a good approach. They think I'm crazy for overpaying voluntarily. I'm lucky to have a little wiggle room as I have a small mortgage and no dependents but I worry for those who have only paid for their usage for now.
