I work with an NHS consultant - admittedly a very senior one - where I apply for grants with him. His time is costed, based on his salary, which I see as part of the grant. Bit over 200k.
In fairness though, it's not an easy job and I wouldn't want the responsibility or hours.
My pal's responsible for some gnarly shit, and he's on call every 3rd weekend for the rest of his life. But it is a bit mad that he's never had to interview for a job in his life and probably won't. |
