250-300k is what you'd expect to pay for any 3 bed in a half decent area.
But honestly once you have your first property (that's the challenge) every mortgage payment increases the cash you have to bump up the amount you have to spend next time. Thats not being loaded, thats just something you can eventually get on an average income as a couple.
