| Comment | Just finished renting a property with Cairn - for most of the tenancy they were pretty fine, good about staying on top of things like repairs/tests without being particularly onerous. When it comes to getting the deposit back they've been taking the piss with a few things \[Make sure you take pictures of everything as soon as you move in!!!\], but realistically we're not talking massive amounts. That being said the members of staff I've been with have generally been pretty friendly/understanding. I wouldn't love renting with them again but I could tolerate it at least.
But generally speaking: letting agents are arseholes, but usually more incompetent than malicious, and if you know your rights and you're willing to be firm but polite when need be, you'll be fine with any of them. Except DJ Alexander |
