I love Glasgow but, yeah, even with the new developments all around (Govan footway bridge, at long last), it could benefit so much from giving the boot to the landlords making it impossible for local businesses to settle. Food chains are not great, I still am not over the Fopp on Byres Road closing, and while the city is definitely not worse than others tourists are fawning over (looking at Paris, which I originate from, that I deem worse than Glasgow to live in), it could benefit so much from reclaiming those spaces to have its own unique flavour. But I don't think there is a single party who would see an interest in that, there's only greed to blame here.

Then this goes mostly for the city centre because what little I've seen from the southside (around Queen's Park) is cute, and I still think Great Western Road is a gem.
