We’re in Shawlands, and have definitely noticed a decline of sorts. We don’t really let the kids out after a certain time. (14m, 11m) Although this is more so that they don’t get themselves into any trouble. (Teenagers!!)

The promise of the arcade to be demolished and new homes to be built will most definitely affect low income families - pushing up buying/renting prices for flats already there. We have an issue already with there not being enough car parking spaces in Shawlands also, which I don’t think has been addressed properly.

It’s been a tough time since covid. Although Shawlands/Strathbungo still seems to be doing well as far as retail/coffee shops/independent business, I have seen a lot of places go out of business, or, only last a couple weeks maximum due to financial fallout since covid.
