I used to work on Union St back in the early 2000s we would regularly see folk getting picked up mini-buses, they had travelled up with suitcases and wooden packing cases full of khat.
Didn't realise it at the time until I started reading about Blackhawk Down when the local fighting forces took a break to get high on khat, it was at that point the penny dropped and I knew I was looking at mules ferrying up cargos of as much the stuff they could carry. |
