I worked in management (broadly speaking medical) for a good bit of time, and a huge issue I ran into was hr employing African/Eastern Europeans and a majority of them just not having a high enough standard of English.
I was desperate for as many native English speakers as possible tbh.
I do believe in institutional racism but as often there are pretty prosaic reasons why a non native speaker may not get the job. |
