Definitely. I'm back in my home city of Aberdeen for a bit whilst job hunting after finishing my degree, and dear fucking god the city is literally dying on it's arse. Glasgow's positively booming by comparison; I got home around midnight yesterday and just the entire city was creepily quiet, hardly anyone out drinking in the pubs. Couple that with the endless sea of vacant shops and boarded up windows on the main street, and it's a complete shitshow compared to how the city was pre-covid. |
