Train to Largs, ferry to Millport (keep eyes peeled for the dolphins that occasionally make themselves known), walk or cycle round the island. The deep sea chippie is by far the best chippie i've ever had but the seagulls are mad dicks there. The lion rock has the best selection of bramble bushes too.
